Extraordinary Cabinet Design
The Obbligato Speaker cabinets are hand-made from tri-composite Medium Density Fiberboard and finished with real Cherry veneer. The cabinets are constructed using a special cross-bracing design for optimum rigidity.

The 7 Degree Angle cabinet design eliminates standing internal waves and supports the time-alignment theory for an accurate delivery of all frequencies.

The cherry veneer is carefully stained and hand-rubbed, creating a finish that matches only the world's finest furniture.

The Obbligato Cabinets feature Angstrom's unmistakable signature: A Beech wood, Padouk and Ebony inlay, placed beautifully down the center of the cabinet.

Obbligato Speakers are constructed with Angstrom's exclusive baffle design, which is proven to all but eliminate resonance and baffle run-on. Loudspeakers suffer from a phenomenon called "Cabinet and baffle run on". Cabinets vibrate or resonate as the drivers move from the electrical signal. This smears and distorts the sound. Our tri-composite cabinet with off angle and double window braces eliminate this problem.

Our cabinets are constructed of 2cm mdf and bonded to 2cm 13 ply Baltic Birch plywood. The cabinet is a tri-composite, mass loaded component. Our engineers found that when they bonded 2cm mdf to 2 cm Baltic Birch, outstanding acoustic properties were achieved. The bonding agent, a resonance isolation barrier, is very special; it will never crack or craze; it will never harden or become brittle; it does not expand or contract. It is a superb damping material. The opposing resonances of the MDF and the Baltic Birch are, in effect, cancelled by the isolation barrier. All Obbligato Series loudspeakers have the same resonance reduced cabinet construction.

Our Special High Performance Drivers
The drivers are from Vifa of Denmark. They are a glass fiber Pentacone design, managed by Angstrom's 2 1/2 way cross-over that delivers extraordinary mid and low range frequencies. Obbligato speakers deliver warm, smooth high frequencies using high-performance Tweeters from world-renowned Scanspeak.

Rigid & Handsome Base Design
Obbligato floor speakers feature handsome, rigid wood bases to create a secure platform. Optional, adjustable brass spikes are included.

Angstrom's attractive speaker grilles are optional, but included with every speaker.
