Sold as Passive or Powered versionOur new Powered Profondo is designed to enhance and improve the performance of any full range loudspeaker regardless of manufacture. To ensure adequate output to below 20Hz, the Profondo is powered with a new 500 watt BASH amplifier. The amplifier section has an efficiency rating in excess of 85% and produces instantaneous power in excess of a kilowatt. The amplifier controls and set-up procedure ensure that there is a seamless integration between the Profondo and the other loudspeakers in the system and the room. The two 25.3cm woofers use cast aluminum baskets and fiberglass weave cones with inverted dust caps.
The Obbligato Speaker cabinets are hand-made from tri-composite Medium Density Fiberboard and finished with real Cherry veneer. The cabinets are constructed using a special cross-bracing design for optimum rigidity.
The 7 Degree Angle cabinet design eliminates standing internal waves and supports the time-alignment theory for an accurate delivery of all frequencies.
The cherry veneer is carefully stained and hand-rubbed, creating a finish that matches only the world's finest furniture.
