		Sharp 3d Projector is a brand new release that has stunning images in 3D. It excels in 3D mode as the projector has very bright bulb allowing it to maintain brightness.

Projects outstanding 3D visual experiences, the XV-Z17000 has a full HD panel (1920 x 1080 pixels) with a 30000:1 contrast ratio and exceptional image brightness (1600 Lumens brightness in High Brightness mode). The model is 3D projection compatible via "IR Link" and "DLP Link," and includes two pairs of 3D active shutter glasses.

The following features allow for easy installation and set up of the projector. The XV-Z17000 features vertical and horizontal Keystone Correction, which corrects spherical and trapezoidal distortion of an image on a projector screen. The lens Shift Function vertically shifts images projected in a 16 x 9 format to maintain superior images without distortion in limited spaces.

Great build quality featues a flexible design with sliding cover protects the projector lens. You can keep the projector safe with the XV-Z17000's anti-theft features that includes a Kensington security standard connector and security bar. The projector incurs lower maintenance costs due to its sealed DLP chip and filter-free design. There is no need to use a step ladder to clean out any dust.

I ordered the XV-Z17k when first available in January 2011. I have it mounted with the Precision Gear ceiling mount. The setup is fantastic. The colors are vibrant and the picture quality is phenomenal.
Mounting was easy with the universal mount. Adjustments are a breeze. With the shorter throw distance the XV-Z17k has, you need to pay attention to the screen width and which aspect ratio you intend to use. The projector is a 16:9 native (HD) and should be positioned within the range adjustment tolerances, because of the limited zoom capability. But, looking at the specification sheet, that is clearly identified and accurate.
Color adjustment was easy and setup of the projector as well. Just read the manual a couple of times and follow the directions.
Fan noise is low, even when on full brightness. It is not an interference to the media presentation.
The projector couples quickly and easily to the included Sharp shutter glasses for 3D media. I just watched the Yogi Bear 3D video and the 3D effects are very impressive. You've got to see it to believe it.
This is a great projector in it's class.
