VideoQuest S1 uses HCF (Hard Cell Foam) insulated solid Silver Plated Long Grain Copper (SP-LGC) conductors in a symmetrical design. S1 is actually two identical 75 ohm cables, one each for the Y and C signals that together carry the video information. Each of the two cables uses a symmetrical design: in addition to a foil and braided shield, the ground uses a 22 AWG SP-LGC) conductor which is identical to the center conductor. All VideoQuest S cables have four times as large a conductor as an average S cable.
