Answer: "US Bovine Blue Hides" does not mean that the leather is blue. It refers to the tanning stage called "wet blue," where the hide has been chrome-tanned but not yet dyed or finished. After this stage, the leather can be dyed and finished in any color.
2) Where is the leather dyed and finished?Answer: The top grain leather used in our high-end theater seating is finished in Asia using the same equipment that is used in the finest tanneries in Europe. All the dyeing and finishing is up to European standards, but it is done in the manufacturing process near Cambodia to keep shipping and handling cost and lead time efficient. The USA bovine hides are imported from the USA to the tannery.
