Measuring Instructions:
Measure the rod length and specify if you would like a 1 way draw (one drape) or a 2 way draw (two drapes split in the middle.) We will automatically add 6" of material for a one way draw and 12" of material for a two way draw so that the drape is properly fitted.
- Remember to add on enough length to your curtain rod so that when the drapes are open, the stackback does not cover the screen.
- If you are measuring for a floor to ceiling curtain, you will need to subtract at least 1" from the total height to keep the bottom hem from the floor.
- For window applications, as a general rule, end brackets should be mounted at least 4" from the side of the window and at least 4" above the window to conceal the hooks and pleats from outside.
- For wall to wall curtains, mount the end brackets 1" from the side walls to allow for drapery returns.
Ordering Instructions:
Each drape item covers a specific width range. Start by selecting the product that includes your required finished drape width.
- Select the correct width-range product. For example, if your finished drape width is 34", choose the item that covers widths from 1" to 36".
- Choose the appropriate Height and Fullness option. Select the height range that includes your exact finished drape height.
- Select the Opening. Choose a one-way draw for one drape panel or a two-way draw for two drape panels that meet in the middle.
- Choose your fabric color.
- Enter the exact finished height and width in inches. These custom measurements are used to make your drapes to the correct size.
Important: The width entered should be the total finished drapery coverage for the item being ordered. For a two-way draw, the total width is divided between the two drape panels.
Before entering your custom measurements, verify that you have selected the correct product width range and the appropriate height price level. Selecting the proper pricing category helps prevent production delays and allows us to keep your custom drapery on our standard 3 to 4 week production schedule.
Need Help Determining Drape Size and Stackback?
Stackback is the space your drapes occupy when fully open. The correct amount depends on the opening width, fabric fullness, draw style and installation. Before ordering, use our free planning calculator to determine the recommended drape coverage, rod width and stackback for your room.
