CHICAGO, IL – HT Design has introduced the Waveland Relax, a premium home theater recliner designed around deeper relaxation, adjustable support and theater-focused comfort features.

The Waveland Relax expands the Waveland seating platform with an extended zero-recline lay-flat position, heated seat and lumbar, independent power recline, power headrest and power lumbar adjustment, along with memory positioning and customizable LED theater lighting.

The seat is designed for dedicated home theaters, media rooms, gaming spaces and entertainment rooms where viewers want the comfort of a plush recliner while maintaining the functionality and layout flexibility of purpose-built home theater seating.

The Waveland Relax uses three independent powered comfort adjustments. Power recline controls the overall seating position, power headrest allows viewers to adjust their head and neck position while reclined, and power lumbar provides adjustable lower-back support.

Controls for all three powered functions are positioned directly in the arm-mounted cupholder, keeping recline, headrest and lumbar adjustment within easy reach. The cupholder control area also provides access to memory positioning, the home function, LED lighting controls and USB-C charging.

The heating system is controlled separately from a switch located on the inside of the arm. This keeps the heat function independent from the three primary powered seating controls while remaining easy to access from the seated position.

Lay-Flat Recline and Full-Length Leg Support

The Waveland Relax's extended zero-recline mechanism allows the chair to reach a flatter lounging position than a conventional theater recliner. Because of the additional recline travel, approximately 8.25 inches of clearance is recommended between the rear of the chair and the wall.

Full-length bucket-style channels extend the contoured seating surface from the seat through the chaise and footrest. The design is intended to provide continuous support beneath the thighs, lower legs and feet rather than transitioning to a flatter footrest surface.

Premium Seating Construction

Waveland Relax is upholstered in HT Design Top Grain Leather 12000, produced from U.S.-sourced bovine hides and selected for a soft feel, consistent appearance and durability in regular home theater use.

Beneath the upholstery, the seat combines a memory-foam top layer, high-density cushioning, pocketed spring coils and kiln-dried hardwood framing. The reclining system uses Leggett & Platt hardware with German-engineered Okin power actuators for smooth powered adjustment.

Seven-Color Theater Lighting and Memory Controls

Integrated LED cupholder and base lighting can be changed among seven colors to coordinate with a theater's interior or viewing environment. Users can select from three brightness levels or turn the accent lighting completely off during movies.

A memory button stores a preferred powered seating position, while the home button automatically returns the recliner to its upright position. Compatible phones and tablets can also be charged through the USB-C connection integrated into the cupholder area.

Designed for Home Theater Layouts

The Waveland Relax is available in straight rows as well as loveseat, sofa-style and multi-seat configurations. The modular configuration options allow customers to match seating width to room dimensions, screen position and desired sight lines.

Individual seats feature a 23.75-inch seating width, 44-inch back height and approximately 70-inch depth when fully reclined. Detachable backs reduce the required delivery clearance to approximately 26 inches, making it easier to move the seating through typical residential doorways before final assembly inside the theater room.

Each Waveland Relax also includes hidden in-arm storage and walnut tray tables. Optional accessories include tablet holders, wine glass holders, a portable loveseat armrest, headrest pillow, seat riser and ButtKicker mounting accessories.
